11 Tips to get good Mark’s in Accountancy. Hello guys, in today’s blog I am
not going to talk about any chapter or any questions today I will tell you how to score 95+ Mark’s in the account. I will tell you some tricks and tips to score 95+ Mark’s.
Let’s begin,
- Concept – Focus on the concept and basic funda. Most of the students just solve the questions without knowing the concept, but you should focus on concepts. You can get good Mark’s in accounts only if you know the basic funda/ concept of every topic. Let me take an example to make you clear – On an average, every chapter have 50 questions and the examiner will give you 1 question, many students just solves all the book questions without knowing the concept but if your concept is clear then you don’t need to solve all the 50 questions of the chapter. If your concept is clear then it will take less time to revise. The secret of getting good Mark’s in accounts is that your concept should be clear, then only you can solve any question.
- Separate notes – The second funda is to make your separate notes. School gives you separate
notes, coaching gives you separate notes but you should make your own notes by pointing the
important topic. It will help you a lot in revision, one day before the exam.
Tips to make separate notes - Make a separate copy
- Note down all the points which you
think is important and you will forget
that. - Practical- Practice practical questions. Once your concept is clear than practice the
practical question as much question as you can. As much you solve the practical question your
basic will built strong and confident will bust-up. - Do unsolved questions rather than illustration- Do unsolved questions. If you are solving the
illustration and as we all know illustration questions are solved below and while solving the
illustration where doubt will occur you will see the solution, which will not clear your concept
permanently. But if you are solving the unsolved questions than you will know how much you
actually know!! And where you stand and then you clear your doubt to your school teacher or
coaching teacher. - Revision – Do time to time revision. As much you revise the topic your confidence will increase
and your basic will be clear.
Tips to do revision - Take a day in a week to do revision.
- And revise all the topics which you mentioned in your separate note.
- Revise that questions which are different and which are in doubt and hard to solve.
- Time – On average you should study and solve the questions for 3 to 4 hours.
If you are not giving time to accounts than you can’t achieve good Mark’s, so do self- study
as more you can. If you are not doing a self study then no one can help with no coaching nor any
school. Instead of school and coaching, you should study your own.
Tips to study - Best way to study, revise the topic by your own which is discussed that day in the school or
coaching. - Format and headings – It is the most important thing, making format in practical question is
very important. If your format is not perfect than your Mark’s can be detected. After making
format, the heading is also important most of the students just make the format and don’t
mention the heading by which your Mark’s can be detected.
Tips to make format and heading - Your format should be neat and clean
- Use a pencil to make the format
- Use long scale
- Give proper heading
- Practice past paper- Practing last 3 years sample paper is the most important task to get good
Mark’s in accountancy.
By solving past papers your practice will be very much stronger, and you will be aware of the
coming question patterns and you will know which type of question is most important and which
topic you should revise more. - Wasting to much time on the answer- Don’t fight with a question which means Don’t waste your
time too much time on a single question. If your balance sheet is not tally then don’t waste your
time there, move to another question and at last, if you get some time then telly that balance
sheet. - HANDWRITING AND PRESENTATION
Write in Legible handwriting
It is seen that students who write legibly get more marks.
And sometimes even in an average answer, students get good marks.
So write legibly and make life easier for paper checkers as well as yours.
Presentation matters the most
Paper checkers do not like cutting/mistakes. It gives a bad impression and this is the major area
where students lose their marks.
The answer sheet must be presented in a neat and clean manner.
11.WORKING NOTES AND ROUGH WORK
Show proper working notes
Wherever working notes are required show them neatly.
They carry marks in almost all the practical questions.
Rough work on a separate sheet
Rough work should be done in a separate sheet and not with the solution or the margin on the
the right side of the answer sheet.
